Msgr. Hans Feichtinger

MY STORY

After ordination in 1998, I became Assistant Pastor in Zwiesel (Diocese of Passau, Germany). Subsequently, I went for for further studies, obtaining an M.A. in Classics from Dalhousie University (Halifax NS) and a Doctorate in Patristic Theology from the Augustinianum in Rome. I then became an Official at the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith at the Vatican, and also began working on a doctorate in philosophy at the Jesuit Philosophy Faculty in Munich.

After coming to Canada in 2013, I first served as Interim Pastor at St Margaret Mary in Old Ottawa South and as Chaplain at Carleton University. Subsequently, I became me Pastor of St George’s effective 1 Sept 2013, and of St. Albertus Pfarrgemeinde effective 3 January 2017. I am also teaching Theology at St Paul University and (Patristic) Theology and Philosophy at the Pontifical Faculty of Theology at St Augustine Seminary (Toronto).
