On Becoming Catholic
Are you considering Catholicism? Becoming Catholic involves two essential steps:
- First, you need to be prepared to receive the Sacraments of Initiation - Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation and
- Second, you need to Learn to live the faith as part of your daily life
Our Parish Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) team, led by Ron Junk, will journey with you towards those goals. The process of becoming Catholic is a guided journey where you have an opportunity to ask questions, explore the word of Christ and decide with the team if you are ready to continue.
The RCIA program provides you with an opportunity to learn about the Catholic faith and to grow a relationship with Christ in a small group setting. The RCIA are liturgical rituals which mark difference stages of your preparation to become a disciple of Christ and the Catholic way of life.
You will be prepared to receive the Sacraments which will be celebrated during the Easter Vigil (the Saturday night service before Easter).
We welcome anyone who is not baptized or is baptized in another Christian Church and now seeks to be in full communion with the Catholic Church.
