Hello St. George's,

I'm really excited to begin working here as the new youth coordinator, and have appreciated the warm welcomes I have received so far. This isn't my first time working in youth ministry - I've been at Good Shepherd Parish for 7 years in this capacity and it's a job that I really enjoy. I love going into schools and leading retreats, preparing younger teens for the sacrament of confirmation, and fostering fellowship and discipleship among younger members of the parish community through youth group, music ministry, and any other way I can encourage teens to participate in parish life. In addition to my work in youth ministry, I also work as a therapist in Orleans, a job I enjoy because of the opportunity it affords me to sit with others in their vulnerability, as I imagine Christ would, and embody love. When I'm not working, I spend my time with my husband Jeff and our two daughters who you'll probably see with me at Mass: Autumn who is 9, and Mackenzie who will be 7 this summer. Of course, there is a lot more to me than the few things I have written here; if you're curious to meet me, or if you think you'd like to be involved in parish youth ministry in some way, I'll be at the parish at various Masses over the next couple of weekends. I'd love to meet you!

Are you in grade 6, 7, or 8? If so, you're invited to join an awesome group of young people as we grow in our faith through friendship, prayer, games, and activities. Come check it out!
